Get Involved

There are many ways to be involved in this great ministry.

The first and easiest is to donate! You can make a tax deductible contribution to this ministry clicking the “Donate” button below or at the bottom of each page of this site!  You can make a one time donation or consider a monthly donation to keep this ministry going as we watch our dreams become reality!

The “Wellness-To-Go” program was developed as a way to share the great menu items we create in the Wellness Program while helping to fund this great ministry. Whenever possible, these items are prepared with foods right out of our gardens. These fresh foods are grown without the use of fertilizers and pesticides. When you purchase from Wellness-To-Go, you are getting good food that is good for your body while contributing to the funding of all that we do. It’s a win – win!

We Recycle!

You can also donate your items to be recycled! We are currently recycling and re-purposing the following items:

  • Newspaper

  • Cardboard

  • Mardi Gras Cups

  • Egg Cartons

  • Used coffee grounds

  • Used tea leaves

Contact us for information on our recycling programs or to learn why you should recycle these items in your own home and how to get started!

Your time and hard work are just as valuable to our ministry as every dollar donated. Watch the calendar and check out these fun ways to share your talents for a great cause! Also, your youth group or school student may need service hours. Working with Sanctuary Farms is a great way for young folks to learn valuable skills while they serve the community.

  1. “Wellness To Go” Workdays – Our “Wellness To Go” program is always cooking up something yummy to sell as a fundraiser for our ministry. This is an opportunity to share in the preparation of these foods. Bring your knife and cutting board and see how we can produce good, healthy, nutritious foods for our community members to enjoy at home!
  2. “Prep & Prepare”- Similarly, we invite all of our members to come help prepare the supper for our “Wellness Wednesday” Program. Tuesday 9am – Noon, on the day before our “Wellness Wednesday” Program, we gather in the Parish Hall, put on some music, and enjoy great fellowship as we chop and cook together with our friends. The menu for Wednesday evening is always a mystery, so this is your opportunity to come and see if you can figure out what’s for supper!
  3. “Sanctuary Farms” Workdays – Sanctuary Farms is growing in several locations. There is always work to be done in the garden! If you like being outside, close to God and nature, the plants need love, weeding and watering. Gardens need planting, nurturing, harvesting and clearing. Our vemiculture and composting systems need care and maintenance. Watch for where we will be and how you can help!
  4. Daily Chores – If you would like to come at your leisure and visit or work in the garden, feel free to contact us so we can make that happen for you!

We have partnered with landscape designer, Eco-Urban, to build over 1000 square feet of raised bed garden space in the rear right corner of the church property. This area will serve as a place to grow foods for the Wellness Program and provide a space for members to grow their own fresh foods and learn valuable growing skills.Olimometer 2.52
